Online Learning

Hi everyone,

Today we ventured onto a new site to support our Math learning.  There will be several sites that students will have access to, and I thought I'd set up a post to help with access.

GIZMOS
website:  www.explorelearning.com
class code for Skelton: 4W5FNXSZBQ
class code for Bax: BERNKXKY8L
login and password: provided by teacher (should have been recorded in agendas or via post-it notes today)
purpose: to support Math and Science by providing students with virtual hands-on manipulatives

*students should be able to login to Gizmos without the class code once they've enrolled for the class using the class code.

iMAIL
website: mail1.scdsb.on.ca
login and password: the same as the ones students use to log on to FES computers
purpose: to communicate with the teacher and peers regarding education; to use as an e-mail address for any school-related sites that might require e-mail addresses. Students are encouraged to check regularly.

EDMODO
website: www.edmodo.com
class code for Skelton: nxryod
class code for Bax: u3ra12
class code for Sauve: i1wj3e
login and password: determined by students upon joining - usernames should be first name and last initial
purpose: to communicate with the teacher and peers on a facebook-esque site; students will have access to files for assignments, homework, etc.

*students should be able to login to Edmodo without the class code once they've enrolled for the class using the class code.

BITSTRIPS
website: www.bitstripsforschools.com/login/
class code for Skelton: Skelton1
class code for Bax: Skelton2
class code for Sauve: Skelton3
login and password: first name and last initial, student-generated password
purpose: a fun way to share knowledge through comic strip creation

* students will require class code to log in to Bitstrips
