BYOD - Bring Your Own Devices

Hello everyone,

After recently discussing this with Mr. Brownlee, we've decided that our class will be given the opportunity to access the guest wireless network at Fieldcrest and bring personal devices in to do so.  Paperwork has been sent home, and it is strongly encouraged that you read all information as thoroughly as possible before signing the parental and student agreement form.  If you DO NOT support your child bringing in a device and having access, please indicate so on the orange sheet outlines Student Guest Wireless Permission. This does not mean that they will be denied access to technology throughout the school year - it simply means that they will not be able to access our wireless internet on their personal devices.

Internet Safety

There will be explicit teaching with regards to digital citizenship throughout the course of the year, with our primary focus on student safety and well-being online. In conjunction with our school's Technology coach, I will be developing and implementing this digital citizenship unit in the near future.  Students will be advised when they are allowed to bring their devices in, so please do not send them in until students have been notified of this. we will call them "BYOD Days".
